Carlos Carvalhal used to coach Sheffield Wednesday before he was appointed by Swansea to save them in the Premier League – and he has been doing really well since then – now, he came back to face his old team…

The Portuguese admitted that he was a bit emotional as the fans of his former club prepared a warm welcome for him – his side managed to keep a 0-0 draw here and he insisted that it was a beautiful evening for him even despite not being able to win…

The former Sheffield coach spoke about his feelings after this match, according to Sky Sports:

“I almost cried after the game when two fans came to talk with me. It’s a very emotional moment.”

“I must say thank you to Sheffield Wednesday for the way that the fans received me, the buzz in the stadium, the players, also the manager (Jos Luhukay), the staff, everybody. It’s the part that I love in football.”

“I felt big recompense for everything I gave to Sheffield Wednesday and I’m very proud. It’s something I’ll never forget. I tried to concentrate on the things that I must do but I must tell you it was hard.”
