According to the former footballer, Jack Grealish should be playing in the UEFA Champions League after his good Aston Villa performances.
And he should be playing in the UEFA Champions League.
“Jack Grealish is playing like a man who belongs in the Premier League,” Cascarino was quoted by The Daily Star.
“He was outstanding against Brighton: getting his team on the ball, driving them forwards and creating and scoring goals. It was a captain’s performance.”
“Grealish will test Aston Villa’s ambitions sooner rather than later,” he added.
“A midfielder with his talent should be playing Champions League football.”
Cascarino explained: “He would not look out of place in midfield for Tottenham, who did not push the boat out to sign him in August.”
“Gareth Southgate was at Villa Park and Grealish will have been one of the players on his radar.”
“The 24-year-old is vying with James Maddison, Mason Mount and Dele Alli for a place in the England squad and a senior call-up should not be far away,” he concluded.
