According to the former Blues striker, the squad he has inherited from Maurizio Sarri is one of the best in the English Premier League.

Italian coach Maurizio Sarri left English Premier League side Chelsea after winning the UEFA Europa League.

And to replace him the bosses brought a Blues legend: Frank Lampard.

Now former striker Tony Cascarino believes the ex-Derby County manager shouldn’t have any complaints after inheriting one of the best squads in England.

“A lot of people are saying that because they’ve lost Eden Hazard it’s a bleaker picture,” Cascarino told talkSPORT.

“At the end of the day, they’ve got a squad full of internationals ranging all different ages.”

Cascarino explained: “Whether they are young or senior, he has got internationals in every position – so that’s a big plus.”

“Frank’s got a better squad than Arsenal.”

“He’s going to have to be expected to finish in front of Arsenal and you could argue get in the top four as well,” he added.

“People are looking at it and saying maybe they won’t get that and they should sacrifice this season, but I don’t believe for one second Chelsea Football Club will do that.”
