Real Madrid’s Casemiro doesn’t want to miss any games, the time for rest he says is when the game is over.
Casemiro has made himself almost indispensable for Zinedine Zidane this season.
The Brazillian midfielder arrived in Madrid back in 2013. After a quiet first season, he was loaned out to FC Porto of Portugal for a year.
Since his return, he has become a mainstay in the Real team.
Every season he has become more and more involved. Playing anywhere from 35 to 48 games in a season.
He has already played 13 times already do far in the 2019/20 season.
We here so much talk and complaints about too many fixtures and exhaustion.
You will hear no such thing for the player who simply cannot get enough of playing football.
In fact, his philosophy is, he will rest after the game.
After his sides 5-0 demolition of Leganes, the Brazilian spoke to the press, and according to Marca, the only thing on his mind is playing.
After all, that’s what he is here for.
“I am here to play.”
“The coach knows the minutes I have to play.”
“I’m resting more when the matches end.”
“We have a coaching staff that knows the moments [where] I have to rest.”
I’m in really good form, I’m really enjoying it and I want to play all the time.”
He too is 18, just as Casemiro was when he arrived.
“We can’t forget that he’s [Rodrygo Goes] 18.”
“We can’t put so much pressure on him, he’s a kid and you have to be calm.”
“He’s so young and is proving that he’s got a lot of quality.”
“He’s an important player for the squad.”
Players with this kind of attitude will be exactly what Zidane needs as the season rolls on.
