Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro says that the entire squad respect Santiago Solari and he would be happy to see him become the permanent manager
The Argentine replaced the fired Julen Lopetegui in the dugout on an interim basis 10 days ago.
Solari has since overseen 11 goals along with three wins and clean sheets in as many games.
While the man himself refuses to dwell on the possibility of becoming the permanent boss, Solari already has Casemiro’s vote.
“We know that Real Madrid is the most demanding club in the world and we have fans that support us right until the last,” Casemiro told reporters on the club website.
“But we always have to go out and win. We’re treating Solari like a Real Madrid coach and with a lot of respect.
“And if things go well, why not give him a chance?”
The Brazilian was speaking after Real’s impressive 5-0 win at Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.
Casemiro along with Karim Benzema (twice), Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos were the goalscorers for Los Blancos.
“It was an important night, particularly because we scored five and kept a clean sheet.
“Tonight’s result helps us to build our confidence. In our previous games the ball hasn’t wanted to go in and today we had the chances to have even scored more.
“We’ve now got to turn our attention to the Celta game, which also promises to be a really tough one”.
Real will next take a trip to Celta Vigo on Sunday in La Liga.
