Dani Ceballos says he is still hopeful of being successful at Real Madrid while expressing his pleasure at belonging to the club.
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos joined Arsenal on a season-long loan deal last summer in search of regular playing time.
The Spaniard made a quick start to his new life, setting up both the goals in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Burnley in a man-of-the-match performance on his debut. He made 24 appearances in all competitions prior to football’s suspension.
Injuries and inconsistency have prevented him from living up to his true potential. His future with the Premier League side, as a result, is still doubtful.
The 23-year old is tied with Real Madrid through to the summer of 2023. And he is eager to establish himself as a key player for his parent club as he prepares to return.
“I’m happy and I am under contract with Real Madrid,” Ceballos told in an interview with Deportes Cuatro [via AS]
“I’m still only 23, I’m not over the hill just yet. Now I feel much more of a player and I’m ready for whatever challenge comes my way.”
