Celta Vigo have announced the appointment of Miguel Cardoso as their new manager following Antonio Mohamed’s dismissal
The Argentinian coach was removed from his post at Celta on Monday, despite only arriving in June on a two-year deal.
Mohamed’s fate at Balaidos was sealed after Sunday’s 4-2 La Liga defeat to Real Madrid meant he had only won three of his 13 games in charge.
Now Celta have named Cardoso as Mohamed’s replacement in an announcement on the club website.
The Portuguese coach takes charge of Celta just six weeks after being sacked by Ligue 1 side Nantes.
Cardoso registered one win, three draws and four defeats in his eight games with Nantes.
The 46-year-old will make his debut in the Celta dugout on November 26 away to Real Sociedad in La Liga.
