The third fixture saw the big clash of group favorites in Scotland, as Celtic hosted Lazio at Celtic Park.

This match was of the utmost importance for both the hosts and the guests.

Celtic topped the group with just one point ahead of Cluj and Lazio before the match began.

However, Scotland’s finest didn’t get off to a good start despite the importance of the match, perhaps feeling a lot of pressure.

This resulted in Lazzari scoring the opener for Lazio toward the end of the first half.

We don’t know what Neil Lennon told his players at the half-time, but they came out firing in the second.

When Christie tied the score in the 67th minute, the whole stadium felt that the team wasn’t done.

Then, just before the 90th minute, Christie assisted Jullien to make it 2-1 for an explosion of happiness and excitement at Celtic Park.

This win means that Celtic are almost secured for the knockout phase, while Lazio have a lot of work in front of them.
