Scottish side Celtic are hoping to make a deal for former Man City midfielder Yaya Toure.

According to reports in Greece, Scottish giants Celtic are keen on the signature of free agent Yaya Toure who left Manchester City last summer.

Yaya Toure who played for Barcelona until he left for Manchester City in 2010 and this has enabled the player to improve in his role as a midfielder.

Yaya Toure who joined Olympiacos in September last year quit recently under undisclosed circumstances.

Following his exit from Olympiacos, the African is now once again available as a free agent, with Scottish champions Celtic keen on securing his services.

Greek outlet Gazzetta via 101greatgoals, Hoops’ boss Brendan Rodgers has been liaising with Toure’s brother, Kolo, who currently acts as a technical assistant at ParkHead, over the possibility of Yaya joining the club.

Rodgers is said to be keen on securing Toure’s signature for the second-half of the campaign.
