The seeds for next season’s Champions League are confirmed, with English sides looking set to remain in Pot 1 and 2
All Serie A teams have secured their positions in all the pots with newcomers Atalanta in Pot 4.
Juventus are in Pot 1 after winning the Scudetto for the eighth straight season, while Napoli’s runners-up finish puts them in Pot 2.
According to Football Italia, Inter may have finished below Atalanta, but their better club coefficient sees them in Pot 3.
The Dea, therefore, must settle for the fourth and final pot when the group-stage draw for 2019-20 takes place in August.
Roma’s failure to qualify for the Champions means Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool will replace them in Pot 2.
However, the winner of Saturday’s Final will go into the first pot, alongside the Europa League winners.
The 26 teams qualifying through League position and UEFA competitions will be joined by six sides competing in the playoffs.
Twenty-six teams qualify automatically for the group stage of the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League.
