Charlie Adam eyeing Rangers return

Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam says he won’t mind signing for Scottish club Rangers, nine years after he left them.

Adam will consider leaving Stoke City in January as he has seen little playing time under Gary Rowett this season, and will likely have to find regular football elsewhere

On October 27, the midfielder was subbed after he came on as a substitute at Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship, and he has not played since then.

“If it was an option, there’s something there. It’s a wonderful club and I had great times there,” Adam told Sky Sports.

Hibernian boss excited about game against Rangers

Hibernian manager, Paul Heckingbottom, hopes the match against Rangers will give his new signings a crash course in extremes.

“It’s a big club, still as well. Obviously, Steven Gerrard’s there, and he seems to be enjoying it. You want to be part of something special.

“He has an aura and a presence. If there was an opportunity to go back then great. I think it might be difficult given the number of players that they have, but you never know in football.”
