Frank Lampard appears to have secured his first signing as Hakim Ziyech is set to join Chelsea at the end of the season.
The Blues managed to overturn their transfer ban after appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sports. But despite going the extra mile, they remained inactive throughout the January transfer window.
Chelsea were enjoying a successful campaign as Lampard’s decision to trust his young players bore fruit. But following Tammy Abraham’s slip in form, they quickly started to regret their decision to add attacking reinforcement.
Therefore, as De Telegraaf reports, Chelsea have agreed to sign Hakim Ziyech for a fee a €45 million. He will join Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Ziyech’s addition will provide a massive boost for Frank Lampard’s men. Known for his attacking flair, the 26-year old earned the Ajax Player of the Year last season for his immense 45 direct goal contributions.
This season too, Ziyech has scored 6 goals and provided 12 assists in 18 appearances in the Eredivisie.
