AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, 26, is reportedly linked with a January move to Chelsea after nine goals in 18 matches in all competitions this season.
Chelsea assistant manager Gianfranco Zola says Bournemouth striker Wilson “has a lot of qualities” and is “of interest” to the Blues. Wilson netted a goal against the United States in his England debut, and Zola says the English striker “can go a long way” when Chelsea host Bournemouth in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
“I’m sure there are a lot of players linked with us,” said Zola during Tuesday’s news conference, according to BBC Sport.
“Callum is doing well and is of interest not only for us but for many.”
“He’s strong, fast, and he sees the goal,” Zola added about Wilson.
“I like him because he’s also strong in the air, which is a very important quality, but I don’t want to go into it too much.
“He’s doing very well and I’m pleased for him.”
