Chelsea need a Lewandowski like player upfront with a killer instinct for goals, according to defender Antonio Rudiger.
Rudiger and Chelsea face Lewandowski in the Champions League tomorrow when the Blues host Bayern and the defender already has one eye on the Polish international.
Chelsea have struggled for goals this season and have had to rely heavily on 22-year-old Tammy Abraham.
The likes of Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud have not been consistent enough and the latter almost even made a switch to Inter in January.
Rudiger has admitted his admiration for Lewandowski and concedes the Blues need a lethal player like that upfront.
“We sometimes miss the killer instinct that Lewandowski has, for example,” Rudiger told SID via Goal .
“Just the greed for more, this greed in front of the goal. He is 31 years old and is still hungry for goals.”
Rudiger will be hoping to keep an in-form Lewandowski at bay. The Polish star has scored 10 Champions League goals in five outings and 25 goals in the Bundesliga this season.
