Chelsea have reportedly agreed to Inter Milan’s demands over a transfer move for Matias Vecino.
Despite managing to overturn their transfer ban, Chelsea remained quiet in all of January.
Frank Lampard earlier also expressed his discontent at his side’s inability to add reinforcements. He also suggested that he is expecting as many as four new additions to his squad in the summer.
And, as it seems, the Blues already have their plans in motions.
Chelsea recently confirmed that they have completed the transfer of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax. The €40 million signing will move to the Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
According to the Express, Chelsea are also working on securing the services of Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino. The report also suggests that they are ready to pay up Inter’s €28 million asking price.
Following Christian Eriksen’s arrival, Matias Vecino has fallen down the pecking order in Antonio Conte’s team. Hence, the Uruguayan midfielder is pushing for a move out of the club.
The 28-year-old has played 20 times for Inter Milan this season while scoring three goals and assisting twice in the process. Vecino’s experience can prove to be a major asset for Chelsea.
