Tahith Chong’s agent has confirmed his client is looking for a new club to further the player’s growth.
Tahith Chong arrived at Manchester United from Feyenoord as a 17-year-old with an abundance of potential.
The young Dutchman has been exceptional in the United academy and U23 teams. However, he has struggled when making appearances for the first team.
As such his progression at the club has somewhat stalled, along with contract talks.
Chong’s contract expires in the summer, and the player and club have been unable to reach an agreement.
According to Football Italia, the player’s agent Erkan Alkan has now stated his client is looking elsewhere for his future.
“(Ole Gunnar) Solskjaer has different ideas on Tahith to the club owners.”
“A manager thinks about himself, I think about my player.”
“We’ve come to a point where he feels that he cannot continue here, so it is time to look elsewhere.”
“His next club must have a strong project that will allow Tahith to further grow in a good environment.”
Chong will leave on a free transfer, in a scenario reminiscent of one paul Pogba.
