Christian Eriksen would do well at Liverpool

Dean Saunders says that Christian Eriksen would easily settle down in his role if he were to leave Tottenham for Liverpool.

Christian Eriksen has already stated that he wants to experience something new in his career after spending six years at Tottenham.

“I feel that I am a place in my career where I might want to try something new,” he told Ekstra Bladet.

“I have the wildest and deepest respect for everything that has happened at Tottenham – I will not be negative. But I have also said that I would like to try something new.

“I hope there will be a resolution during the summer. That’s the plan.

“In football you do not know when a resolution will happen. It can happen anytime. Everyone wants the best to it to happen as soon as possible, but in football takes things time.”

Klopp doesn’t believe Liverpool is the best team

According to the Reds manager, there are better clubs out there and they have to constantly keep getting better if they want to succeed.

The Danish international is getting interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. However, with nothing concrete on the table, the former Ajax man could stay with Spurs for another season.

With just one year left on his contract, Dean Saunders believes that Liverpool should take advantage and move for Christian Eriksen. The former striker feels that the Dane could easily become a first team player for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“[They could] spend it maybe… I think Eriksen could slot into Liverpool’s team; somebody like Eriksen,” said Saunders while speaking on talkSPORT.

“That type of player who will make their midfield a bit more productive.”

However, it remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp will actually take up on this advice. The German tactician hasn’t really made a lot of noise in the transfer market this summer. Following a sensational previous campaign, Klopp doesn’t want to buy players for the sake of buying so Christian Eriksen might not be arriving at Anfield.
