‘Chucky’ Lozano would welcome Diego Lainez in Holland

PSV star Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, likes the idea of having Diego Lainez arriving in Holland to compete in the Eredivisie according to reports.

After Club America’s sporting director confirmed that youngster Diego Lainez is close to a winter shocking move to Europe, there have been reports of the Liga MX champion getting pretty cozy with clubs like Ajax and compatriots like Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano are excited with the idea of having Lainez playing in Dutch football soon.

The PSV star has been one of Europe’s breakthrough players in the last couple of years, it took him less than two seasons to become one of the Eredivisie’s most valuable players and he expressed his curiosity when being questioned about Diego Lainez possible coming to compete against him.

“Honestly, I’ve seen him a little. I haven’t seen him play that much,” Lozano told Goal.

“For me, he’s a good player. He’s young, but he has a lot of qualities.”

“I don’t know if he’s ready or not. I don’t know what he’s like as a person. I don’t know him well. But, hopefully he can arrive here soon,” said ‘Chucky’.

This confirms that Lozano has nothing to do with a possible Diego Lainez arrival to European football, but he does take credit for Erick Gutierrez’s transfer from Pachuca to PSV Eindhoven last summer.

Report: Ajax are top of the league after 4-1 win

Ajax is top of the Eredivisie after beating Heerenveen 4-1. Ajax was without standout midfielder Donny van Beek again, for the visit of Heerenveen to...

“With the transfer of Erick, I played a small role in it because they asked me about him, I was paying attention to whether they signed him or not, so the only thing I could do is to convince them a bit more to sign him and tell him good things about being here,” he added.

“I think that’s why he came here. I think he’s had some minutes, but little by little he’ll have more. He’s going to show more of the skill he has, so I’m convinced that he can play as a starter and hopefully the manager decides. He’s the one that decides, so he’s the one in charge.”
