Manchester City made easy work of Watford winning four-nil with the result meaning Watford’s Premier League life hangs by a thread.
Managerless Watford did nothing to help their relegation worries after they were resoundingly beaten by Manchester City.
The Hornets may have put up a valiant fight for the first half-hour of the game. But the team coached by U23 coaches Hayden Mullins and Graham Stack were well beaten in the end by Pep Guardiola’s men.
Raheem Sterling opened the scoring in the 31st minute, and only nine minutes later got his second and doubled the visiting side’s lead.
The second half saw the hosts hold their own for the opening few minutes before City turned up the pressure and scored a couple more.
This time there were just three minutes between Foden’s 63rd-minute goal and Laporte’s in the 66th.
City could have had a fifth but for Gabriel Jesus’ goal being ruled out for offside.

Should Aston Villa get a result against Arsenal in the late kickoff, the Hornets’ future may be out of their hands.
