FC Porto manager Sérgio Conceição insists the target remains the same, despite a qualification spot for the last-16 up for grabs tonight
The Primeira Liga leaders will host Schalke 04 in Portugal for a Champions League match needing just a point to book a place in the knockout stages.
Currently, Porto leads Group D with 10 points from four games with Schalke trailing them by two points and third-place Galatasaray a further four points back.
But, for Conceição, it makes no difference where they are in the standings as the goal remains the same as always – to win.
“We look at every match with the same goal: getting the three points and put on a good performance,” Conceição told reporters on the club website.
“A victory will allow us to end the group stage in the lead and we know how important that is, but we are not under pressure at all.
“We don’t think of the “what ifs?” in football. What matters is what we control, which is our performance.”
Aside from striker Vincent Aboubakar remaining sidelined, Conceição has a fully-fit squad available for tonight.
The Porto-Schalke match will begin at 21:00 (CET) at the Estádio do Dragão.
