Bournemouth U21s manager Shaun Cooper has demanded a reaction from his team after their 4-2 loss to Burnley in the Premier League Cup.
Cooper is eager for the young Cherries to bounce back when they face Shrewsbury Town in a clash for a place in the final of the Central League Cup.
He said, according to Daily Echo:
“We are looking for a positive reaction and energetic performance after our first defeat in a while.”
“Shrewsbury don’t have an under-23 or under-21 set-up, so we know they will field a reserve team and are anticipating them to be strong.”
“We are a young team so it will be a very good test.”
“It was a disappointing result against Burnley and a slightly disappointing performance at times. We knew their style of play and knew what we needed to.”
“We did okay but they counter-attacked from our mistakes. All the goals were preventable from our perspective and we didn’t quite create as much as we would have liked.”
