According to the Brescia coach, Mario Balotelli “needs to raise his game if he wants to face Juventus” as his team is set to host Bologna.
Then the team will visit Udinese, before playing against Juventus at home on September 24.
And while Mario Balotelli will be still suspended for today, he is eager to play against the Bianconeri.
“I have already told the lads our starting XI and tomorrow you’ll find out too,” coach Eugenio Corini told Football Italia.
“We tried to bring in players who had characteristics that could prove useful to us and those who remained know there is more competition for places now.”
He added: “The break for international duty helped us to work with a deeper focus on tactics and we’ve already shown so far this season that we’ve got what it takes to be competitive.”
“Mario hasn’t trained very much. He needs to raise his game if he wants to play against Juventus. Alessandro Matri is training, he’s in good shape and we’ll see if he plays tomorrow or not.”
“The trequartista is a fundamental role in the 4-3-1-2 formation, so we brought in Romulo and he already showed in the friendly with Frosinone that he has the right characteristics to handle the job,” he commented.
“Sinisa [Mihajlovic ] has done extraordinary things already and is facing this illness with courage. We had a few disagreements in the past, but we cleared everything up. He is a Coach I always admired and I wish him all the best.”
