Coutinho still believes in VAR technology

The Brazilian footballer was sad that his team had three goals disallowed by the VAR in their Copa America match.

The Brazil national team drew 0-0 with Venezuela in today’s 2019 Copa America match.

And the team had three goals disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Technology.

But for footballer Philippe Coutinho, the VAR was right, and he sees the technology as something positive for football.

“I don’t know if VAR was fair today because there were two difficult calls, but they must have been rightly ruled out because I think that VAR is positive for football,” the playmaker was quoted by Sport.

“For Brazil, it was a difficult game against a good side.”

“They have good players and I think it will be like this for the rest of the tournament,” he added.

Liverpool told to pick ‘fantastic’ Dembele over Coutinho

Ousmane Dembele would be a better signing for Liverpool rather than his Barcelona team-mate Philippe Coutinho, says Danny Murphy.

Coutinho, Gabriel Jesus, and Roberto Firmino saw how the VAR ruled out their goals.

The Selecao is still at the top of Group A with four points.

They will play on Saturday against Peru, where they could book a place in the last eight with a draw.
