Coutinho to decide future after Copa America

Once he is done with his duties at the Copa America, Philippe Coutinho is going to engineer a move away from Barcelona.

Philippe Coutinho has made a really good start at the Copa America with Brazil. The dynamic midfielder scored twice as Brazil got their Copa America campaign to a positive start against Bolivia.

Coutinho’s form for the national team is a far cry from how things were going last season at Barcelona. The former Liverpool man struggled for form and was often booed by his own fans. Clearly, the move to Barcelona hasn’t suited Coutinho.

And it appears that the midfielder could be leaving Camp Nou for pastures new this summer. While there is a desire from the player to do well for the Catalonian giants next summer, the club might have other plans.

Reportedly, the Spanish outfit is negotiating with PSG over the transfer of Neymar. And part of the deal could include Coutinho. The Brazilian is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain. The Ligue1 see him as a much better replacement. This is keeping in mind Neymar’s plethora of issues off the field.

PSG could find Coutinho to be a capable partner to Kylian Mbappe.

Barca target Junior Firpo tipped to become the next Ramos

Barcelona target Junior Firpo could end up emulating Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos' career, says his old Real Betis coach Juan Jose Romero.

And while Leonardo, the club’s new sporting director is interested, he might have to wait.

According to the Mirror, Coutinho is not going to make a decision on his future before Copa America comes to an end.

The midfielder is solely focused on guiding his country to its ninth title and once that’s done, he will contemplate his plans for the summer.

PSG the only option

PSG remain the only candidates in the running for his signature. Manchester United were interested in bringing Coutinho back to the Premier League. But out of respect for Liverpool, the player has rejected the Red Devils’ offer.

A move to Parc des Princes isn’t going to be a bad option either. With the likes of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Dani Alves already at the Ligue 1 club, Coutinho will not have any issues settling down and resurrecting his career instantly.
