Cristiano Ronaldo marked his return for Juventus in style with a brace after coming off the bench. He is happy to be back on the pitch.
Juventus were again heading for a 1-1 draw until Cristiano Ronaldo arrived from the bench. This time, he was clear of coronavirus and in top form.
Pirlo had already confirmed that CR7 would start from the bench and there was never any doubt he would still get in on the goals.
It took only 126 seconds for Ronaldo to hit the back of he next after almost three weeks off the pitch.
17 minutes later, he converted a Panenka penalty for his second after fellow substitute Adrien Rabiot had all but secured a welcome victory.
Speaking after the game, Ronaldo says he is happy to be back on the pitch.
“I have been stationary. I had no symptoms and I felt good. Today I went back to doing what I like, playing football,” Ronaldo told Sky Sport.
“Serie A is a competitive league. Milan are doing a great job, as well as Lazio and Napoli. We have to work hard, but we are growing.”
Ronaldo was asked about a question where he reportedly tagged the covid-19 swap tests as ‘bulls**t”; a post he almost immediately removed on his Instagram.
Rather than reply to the question, CR7 added: “Cristiano is back this is the most important thing.”
