The five-time Ballon d’Or winner will head to Southeast Asia during the offseason.

Cristiano Ronaldo is heading over to Singapore this June. The Al Nassr captain is no stranger to this country, having made it a point to visit several times over the years. Not only that, but CR7 has also shown his support for the Singapore Olympic Foundation-Peter Lim Scholarship.

In 2019, Ronaldo even made a surprise visit to Yumin Primary School. He posted a picture of that event on Instagram last Sunday, along with a short announcement of his plans to visit Singapore again this summer.

“Had the pleasure a few years ago to visit Singapore, spend some time with these amazing kids and see the great work of the Peter Lim Scholarship,” Ronaldo wrote.

“Looking forward to see all of you again next month.”

The scholarship that Ronaldo refers to was created in 2010 by the Singapore Olympic Foundation. It includes a generous S$10 million donation from Peter Lim, owner of Valencia Football Club. This scholarship offers essential financial support to help young athletes reach their dreams.

According to the foundation, Mr. Lim’s S$10 million is the biggest donation from a single individual towards sports development in the country.

Ronaldo returns to action on Tuesday for Al Nassr’s trip to Al Taee. The striker will be eager to help his team win. With only four games left, Al Nassr trail Saudi Pro League leaders Al-Ittihad by five points.
