Juventus fans have voted for Cristiano Ronaldo as the club’s MVP of 2019/20 following another goal-laden campaign.

How Juventus would’ve coped without Cristiano Ronaldo this season will forever be a mystery. He not only scored countless goals, but dragged the team forward in their time of need.

31 goals in just 33 Serie A appearances was an outstanding achievement. Especially in a league which Cristiano himself regards as the most difficult to score in. Yet, he nailed it at the age of 35 and even finished third in the European Golden Shoe.

Making it even more special was the way he bounced back to shut his critics down. From being written off as โ€˜past itโ€™ several times to struggles under Maurizio Sarri, it was far from an easy ride. But Ronaldo came out glowing, and perhaps better for it.

The Real Madrid legend ended the campaign on a new club-record 37 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions. He even chipped in seven assists on the way.

Such was Ronaldo’s performances and many memorable goals, like that sensational header against Sampdoria, that they played a vital role in Juve winning a nine successive league title.

So it’s no surprise the Bianconeri supporters voted Ronaldo as the MVP of the season.

“It was a very long season, with a championship that lasted almost 11 months,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“An unexpected stop halted things, but when things started up again we wonโ€ฆ again. Among all these ingredients, there is one element that has been a constant: Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals.

“For decades no one had managed to achieve 30 goals just in the league for a Juventus, and Ronaldo, who reached this milestone in record time, often proved decisive and fundamental.

“Some, even extraordinary: do you remember his stunning header against Sampdoria at Marassi?

“For his goals, his class, his coolness, his leadership, and his being an absolute champion, Cristiano Ronaldo was the most voted player by the Juventus fans throughout the year.

“Cristiano, therefore, receives the MVP of the Year award, Powered by eFootball PES2021. Congratulations, champion!”

Ronaldo will now take some time off football and regroup for next season, where he hopes to win that first Champions League title in Turin under new manager Andrea Pirlo.
