Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus’ living football God

It’s funny how a lot of people seem to be barely discovering that Cristiano Ronaldo might be a better footballer than Leo Messi, a living football God.

Even when Cristiano Ronaldo’s career at Manchester United began, we could already see how incredible his talent was but we never imagined that he would transform into the football God that he is today.

The man owns every single Champions League record there is, he deserves way more credit than Lionel Messi does simply because of some factors that we are about to mention.

The man himself couldn’t accept that the rest of the world was always looking at Messi’s natural-born talent and toss his achievements aside, he needed to do something that could change the way people think about him and he managed to do it in the last six years of his career.

There are even football players who shared a locker room with him and are only now starting to realize that they are before greatness, Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t being arrogant when he told France Football that he was the best player in football history because he always backs his claims even if they are too crazy to fathom.

The 124 all-time goal record that Cristiano Ronaldo reached last Tuesday is just one of the stats he got, he also matches Lionel Messi’s 8 hat-tricks in the competition.

This year has been really difficult for Ronaldo, he had to leave the perfect setting for him in Madrid because he was feeling under appreciated and vowed to triumph in Italian football as well.

Taking his family with him and struggling to adapt with all that comes with being Cristiano Ronaldo, the man overcame his obstacles once again and he shed a couple of tears when he scored the third goal against Atletico Madrid.

Ronaldo reminds us of the great sports legends of old, people like Babe Ruth when he felt like he could do anything.

Cristiano said that he would score at least three goals against Atletico Madrid and that’s exactly what he did, this special power can only be attributed to the sports deities who are well above the rest of humans and Cristiano is the only one who is capable of such feat at the moment.

Even Lionel Messi has dropped his level dramatically as of late, or maybe he finally realized that this senseless battle against Cristiano Ronaldo is one that he might never win.

This is the perfect description of their personalities, Ronaldo will never rest until he knows he is the best in football history, whereas Messi already seems tired and doesn’t care about the recognition.

Since this looks like a very important achievement for Cristiano Ronaldo, we can expect many more seasons from him at the highest level as he doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Last Tuesday was just a taste of what we can expect from this incredible player, he obviously wants to win his sixth Champions League and reach Francisco Gento as the only two players with the same number of European Cups.

But Cristiano is not going to stop there, we know he wants to get all the way to 7 trophies and truly become the unreachable player.

Rio Ferdinand summed up Cristiano Ronaldo perfectly last night: “He is a living football god, it is ridiculous what he is doing,” Ferdinand said via Goal.

“In the Champions League he has every record you could imagine. He’s the joint-hat-trick man with Messi.”

“The first goal is like Duncan Ferguson in his prime, attacking the ball, leaving the full-back in a heap and saying: ‘This is me’. That is called desire.”

“This is against an Atletico Madrid team which is known for having an unbelievable defense. And they’ve gone and scored three goals and he’s got a hat-trick.”
