According to Bianconeri superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, the last season was his best season ever, including those he played in Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo played his first 12 months with Juventus and was only able to win the Italian Lega Serie A Scudetto and the Italian Super Cup.
But according to the former Real Madrid player, he played his best season ever, and he knows his side will eventually win the UEFA Champions League.
“It wasn’t easy for me to leave Real Madrid after such a long time and arrive in a different league like Serie A, with new teammates, all at the age of 33,” he told The Daily Mail.
“This is why I believe that I had my best season. I won the Scudetto and Italian Super Cup at Juve, then the Nations League with Portugal, so that’s three trophies in just one year.”
He said: “We’ll try to win the Champions League, but we know as always that it’s a difficult competition.”
“Juventus are up there, but other teams are also built to win: Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester City.”
“Only one of them can achieve it and I hope it’s Juventus. However, the Champions League is not an obsession,” he commented.
“I am calm because I see how we are working every day and I know Juve will win it. If it’s not this year, then it’ll be the next.”
