The Chelsea full-back began his career at Real Madrid, but failed to make it to the first-team. Therefore, he joined Bolton in 2010 before eventually winding up at Stamford Bridge.

But Alonso did at least get a bit of La Liga action by appearing once for Real Madrid’s first-team against Racing Santander in April 2010. The game ended in a 2-0 win for Los Blancos, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the opener.

While Alonso came on during injury-time to replace Gonzalo Higuain.
