Croatia are yet to make on decision Nikola Kalinic, according to talkSPORT.

The striker was sent home from the World Cup after refusing to come on a substitute against Nigeria during their first game at the tournament.

Croatia are yet to make a decision as to whether the player will receive a medal after the World Cup. And the decision is expected to be made by the current crop of players.

Croatia will face France on Sunday in the World Cup final and are guaranteed a medal regardless of what happens on Sunday.

“The players will decide, let’s see what will happen.” Croatia’s director of communications said to ESPN Brazil about the Kalinic situation.

Fifty medals each will be presented to the Winners, second place team and third place team, receiving Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively according to FIFA’s article 52.8.

Kalinic, 30, is expected to leave the San Siro this summer as Atletico Madrid and Sevilla vie for his services. The former Fiorentina striker is open to a move to Spain after struggling to make any positive impact in Milan.
