Ivan Rakitic is the main topic in the transfer category these days with the Croatian seemingly on Barcelona’s back-door, ready to leave this January.
Playing just over 200 minutes this season, Rakitic is definitely out of favor with Barcelona.
Even though he has Valverde’s support, the board wants him gone. This is partly to create space for younger talents, such as De Jong, Arthur, and Alena.
At 31-years of age, Rakitic is still a wanted man around Europe.
Dinamo Zagreb’s manager, Nenad Bjelica, talked about Rakitic to Cadena SER.
“He’s had some very good seasons at Barca and has been a legend and he deserves a bit more, but it’s up to the coach and Ivan.
“They know why he’s playing less but wherever he goes he’ll show what a good player he is. I think he’ll go in the winter window for his own good and Barca’s too,” Bjelica said, as quoted by Marca.
