Crouch: Liverpool could beat Man United to Jadon Sancho

Peter Crouch wouldn’t be surprised to see Jadon Sancho end up at Liverpool one day instead of his long-term pursuers Manchester United.

Sancho is one of football’s hottest young prospects following his brilliant progress at Borussia Dortmund over the last years.

For BVB, though, the 19-year-old’s rapid development in Germany has caught the attention of many top clubs. At the top of the list is United, who made an unsuccessful attempt to sign him during the recent transfer window.

Meanwhile, Sancho also recently refused to rule out a La Liga move one day in the future amid reported interest from Real Madrid.

But Crouch reckons Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s rock-and-roll brand of football are the perfect fit for Sancho.

“What he did to launch his career deserves huge praise,” the ex-Reds striker wrote in his Daily Mail column.

“It couldn’t have been easy leaving England to play club football in Germany, but he looks destined to become a superstar and I thought he was superb against Kosovo.

Sheffield United, Premier League

Sheffield’s coach believes in his boys

According to Sheffield United coach, Chris Wilder, his team can survive in the English Premier League as it faces Arsenal tomorrow.

“The easy thing for him to do would have been to remain at Manchester City, get paid well and make the odd appearance off the bench, but he stepped out of his comfort zone to join Borussia Dortmund and you can see how much he is enjoying himself.

“The more I see of Sancho, the more I am convinced he is going to be the one who explodes on to the scene.

“All being well, he will return to the Premier League.

“Clubs will be queuing up to sign him and while there has been noise about him joining Manchester United, I wonder whether Liverpool might actually be the perfect fit.

“It would not surprise me to see him at Anfield.”

Sancho has managed three goals and four assists in his first five matches of the new season for Dortmund.

The talented teenager also scored his first two England goals in a Euro 2020 qualifier against Kosovo on Tuesday.
