D-Day approaching as Manchester United look to seal Bruno Fernandes signing

Manchester United are expected to bid for Bruno Fernandes as Sporting Lisbon look to quickly wrap up the deal.

Bruno Fernandes is yet to become a Manchester United player despite being linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for ages.

And after Matthijs de Ligt finally decided to sign for Juventus, one would hope that another protracted transfer saga comes to a close.

The Red Devils have been chasing the midfielder for quite a while. Following a 31-goal campaign with the Portuguese giants last season, Bruno Fernandes is a wanted man. While the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool were interested in signing him, it appears that the midfielder has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

And according to The Daily Mail, the Red Devils are set to make another offer for the player.

And while Sporting are asking for at least 65 million Euros for their talismanic player, United believe that they can convince the club into selling the player for less.

Anthony Martial relishing Man United rivalry with Rashford

Anthony Martial is relishing the inter-team rivalry between himself and Marcus Rashford at Manchester United and revealed how they "terrorise defences".

Fernandes has already made a starring start to preseason, scoring against the likes of St Gallen and Rapperswille-Jona.

And with the clock ticking and Manchester United squad travelling to Singapore for the second leg of the tour of Far East, Bruno Fernandes is waiting for things to happen.

The Portugal international has already made it clear that he wants to leave and has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. Now the only thing that remains is convincing Sporting to a deal that wouldn’t push the limit of the club’s finances.

At present, United could really do with some creativity in the middle of the park. With Paul Pogba looking for an exit and the likes of Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay not considered to be playmakers, the arrival of Bruno Fernandes is going to make a lot of difference.

The Sporting star has goals and assists in his arsenal so creativity wouldn’t be a problem if he signs for the English outfit.
