Mahmoud Dahoud reckons his Borussia Dortmund teammate Marco Reus’ current form puts him on par with the world’s finest players
The German forward has notched an impressive 11 goals and seven assists in just 17 games for Dortmund this season.
The likes of Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl have even stated that Reus is in the form of his life.
And Dahoud is the latest to join in on praising the Dortmund captain.
“For me, Marco is one of the best players in the world – especially in his current form,” Dahoud told Sportbuzzer.
The central midfielder has made just five starts for Dortmund this season after being benched in their last three games.
However, Dahoud is pleased with his progress at Signal Iduna Park and understands he can’t start every match.
“I knew I needed to be patient with my move to Dortmund, so I’m happy with my development,” said Dahoud.
“I don’t see myself as a benchwarmer. Everyone needs to sit out now and then.”
Dortmund will take a trip to 1.FSV Mainz 05 this Saturday in the Bundesliga.
