Danilo, the Manchester City full-back, insisted that he is happy that his team will be given a couple of days of rest after a very festive period of the season in the Premier League.
Danilo scored the only goal of his team in his side’s 1-1 draw at Burnley – and the Brazilian insisted that it is important to recharge after a very demanding period of the season to be fully ready and prepared for the upcoming and very important part of the year.
The former Real Madrid defender spoke about his side’s last match and the upcoming free days, according to Sky Sports:
“It is very important. It is a very intense competition, having games every two or three days. We know how difficult and demanding it is.”
“It is very important to rest our bodies and clear our minds and come back to prepare for the next game fresh and relaxed.”
“We must be really satisfied with the whole performance. I think we played really well.”
“I think it is important to come to a ground like this and get points, we know how difficult it is. They are a really physical team and don’t make you feel comfortable at any time.”
“We controlled the whole game but we didn’t win, so that’s why we are not 100 percent satisfied.”
