David Luiz says he is accustomed to playing under different roles and will not mind adjusting to a new position once again.

Arsenal defender David Luiz insists he is aware of the consequences that may affect him after Pablo Mari’s arrival but will not shy away in giving up his desired playing position for his new teammate.

Recently, Arsenal signed Pablo Mari from Flamengo on a season-long loan deal.

Pablo Mari, who also operates on the same left-sided center-back role as David Luiz, is expected to start in Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Newcastle United.

But, as the Mirror reports, David Luiz couldn’t care less. The former Chelsea man reminded that he went through various positional transitions throughout his career while backing his new teammate to help the Arsenal team.

“I always want to play,” David Luiz said.

“I always play in the way the coach wants to play. It doesn’t matter the side, it doesn’t matter which position. You guys know I played a lot of positions during my career. I’m always ready for that.

“He’s a great player. It was a pleasure for me seeing Pablo doing really well in Brazil. I hope he can help us.”
