David Neres has an offer to leave Ajax

The Brazilian winger is wanted by some clubs in Europe, but according to Marc Overmars, his future will be known next week.

22-year-old Brazilian winger David Neres is a product of the Sao Paulo youth system.

He joined the Paulistas in 2007, and it was in 2016 when he debuted professionally with the senior squad.

The next year he moved to Europe, where he has been playing with Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax.

Now, the team’s sports director Marc Overmars has said his future will be decided in the next week.

Report: New offers for Neymar Jr. proposed

In a surprising twist, Real Madrid are reportedly attempting a swoop for PSG star Neymar Jr. with news of other players being offered as...

“Next week will be decisive for David Neres, he has an offer, but the intention is for us to lead Ajax next season,” Overmars told Spanish media outlet As.

“He was able to go to China in the winter, but we will not let him go, we want to see how it worked for Ajax.”

“But he is now international with Brazil, the development of Neres is the merit of Ajax, of the team and certainly of the coach, Erik ten Hag,” he added.

“That can play an important role now, but I understand that it can be seen in a different way.”
