Bernardo Silva has emphasized David Silva’s impact in the Manchester City team.
Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva feels teammate David Silva stands side to side along the game’s best-ever players to have played in the middle of the park.
David Silva joined Manchester City from Valencia in 2010. Since then, the Spaniard played a key part in the Blues’ domestic conquest in recent times. Silva has so far won four Premier League titles among many other accolades.
But the 34-year old is nearing the end of his glorious career at Man City as he is set to quit the club at the end of the season. And teammate Bernardo Silva has come out in praise of David Silva.
“He is one of the best midfielders of all-time,” Bernardo told Man City’s official website.
“David might not score that many goals or make so many assists. But he brings something different to the team that maybe people don’t always realize – the actions before the goals and he brings so much to the team.
“It is a different impact he has on the game and it is huge. And maybe, that’s one of the reasons he maybe didn’t have the praise in past seasons that he perhaps should have.”
