Alphonso Davies believes that the way Hansi Flick has Bayern Munich playing the Champions League is a realistic target.

Alphonso Davies is enjoying a break out season under Bayern’s new boss Hansi Flick.

Flick has just been given the Bayern Munich manager’s job on a permanent basis with a contract until 2023.

Canadian national Davies is only 19-years-of-age abut has been enjoying plenty of playing time and demonstrating some fantastic form this season.

He insists the boss has a coaching method that grants the players the freedom to not only win games but enjoy their football too.

Speaking to ESPN he believes that this could lead to some major success and even the holy grail of club trophies.

He said:

“I really feel that with the quality have we can win the Champions League.”

“I played really well against Chelsea. I did what the coaches asked me to do, defended well, attacked well.”

“Obviously it is not going to be easy. There are still a lot of good opponents in front of us that we have to get past.”

“Each and every day we have that in the back of our minds, that this year could be the year that we win the Champions League again.”

“My favorite part about Flick is that he lets us play, lets us be creative.”

“He implements his coaching tactics, how he wants us to play, but at the end of the day, football is free-flowing.”

“He just wants us to win games and enjoy playing our football.”
