Alphonso Davies is overjoyed after having his breakthrough with Bayern Munich and desires to stay in Germany for the foreseeable future.

At just 19 years of age, Bayern Munich Alphonso Davies has established himself as one of the best fullbacks not only in Bundesliga but in all of Europe.

Davies signed for Bayern in 2018, but it was not until the following season that he gradually became a key player in the team.

Initially a winger, he was forced to shift to the left-back role due to the defensive crisis earlier in the season. He managed his new role staggeringly well – so much so that he now looks to have nailed down that position.

In an interview with the Players’ Tribune, the Canadian teenager says he likes to dream big and that he is looking to push himself to even greater heights.

“Since [arriving at Bayern] I have won two league titles, two German Cups, and become the Bundesliga Rookie of the Year,” said Davies.

“I have thought about what my career will be like when I’m not so young anymore. I want to stay in Germany for as long as possible.

“I have had a lot of big dreams ever since I was a kid, and Bayern are helping me achieve those dreams. But trust me, there is more to come. I’m just getting started.”
