De Bruyne has achieved a lot at City bust must still win the Champions League before he can be considered a legend as per Micah Richards.

De Bruyne must build on his career at Manchester City and try to inspire the club to a Champions League triumph according to Micah Richards.

City have dominated domestically in recent years but a significant short-coming has come in their European fortunes.

Despite all the talent they have, City have not won the Champions League or even managed to make the finals.

And former City defender Micah Richards believes De Bruyne and City have to build on their recent win against Real Madrid.

More specifically, the Belgian has to win the Champions League with this crop of players to be considered a legend.

The ex-City defender told  BBC Five Live via Goal : “Kevin de Bruyne was quiet-ish for the first 60 minutes. But once he got more involved, he delivered.

“He has taken the midfield role to another level. He got yet another assist and he’s come up with an important goal.

“We’ve joked about Ederson but De Bruyne is the man to take the pens. He’s already a great player, but to become a legend, he needs to drive this team on to win the Champions League.”
