De Bruyne tips England to win Euro 2020

There are exciting times ahead for the England national team according to Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Three Lions have improved significantly on the international stage under Southgate who has managed to get the best out of the young talents in the squad, with the Russia 2018 World Cup a testament.

And former England international Gary Lineker echoed the sentiments of the City player after England’s 5-0 thumping of Czech Republic last month: “Never thought I’d say this but I reckon England will win something.”

With Gareth Southgate’s side later matching the run with a 5-1 win against Montenegro in the qualifying campaign for next year’s European Championship.

Having also reached the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, England’s gradual rise to the pinnacle of World football is gathering momentum.

As a result, Belgium and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne believes 2020 could be the year when England would finally win something.

De Bruyne as well, will be eyeing glory at Euro 2020 with Belgium. But he believes England, alongside France, are the favourites to win the tournament.

“I told the England guys a week ago that you (England) should win the Euros,” De Bruyne said, per Sky Sports.

“I think they are favourites, with France.

“I see the guys already established, and those coming up, so the future looks really good.

“Will they win it? I don’t know, because only one team can win it, but you have a chance to do well in the next 10 years.”
