Frenkie de Jong has revealed that Sergio Busquets has helped him settle in the Barcelona team.
Frenkie De Jong kickstarted his career last season at Ajax. The midfielder started making noise with his performances and, eventually, the sound reached to the Camp Nou.
The Dutch international has fit in the Barcelona squad like a glove. De jong has played in each of Barcelona’s match in La Liga.
The Blaugranas will face Dortmund in their next match in the Champions League. And, in the pre-match press conference, De Jong revealed that all the Barcelona players welcomed him warmly in the squad.
“I think the whole team is helping me a lot,” he said in a report by Marca.
“If I have to say one, I should mention Busquets, who has helped me a lot.”
The midfielder also talked about his role in the squad. De Jong insisted that he is comfortable in whatever position in the midfield Ernesto Valverde asks him to play.
“It’s interesting. I’ve said many times that it doesn’t matter where I play,” he claimed.
“I can play as a No.6, 8 or 10. I like to play in the middle of the park.
“You’ll have to ask the coach where he sees me best.”
