Napoli have got a friendly match planned against Liverpool but Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Italian club president, insisted that people can’t expect that much from his side in this specific match.

The Italian film producer claimed that a lot of players will be missing and the preparations for the new season are still just in the process so it is likely that the performance against the Reds won’t be ideal.

De Laurentiis spoke about this friendly as he said, according to Football Italia:

“There will be 57,000 people there. It’s extraordinary because normally friendlies are not even taken into consideration.”

“But Napoli are Napoli and Liverpool were Champions League finalists.”

“People continue to organise matches abroad that you can’t follow, as they are at impossible times for Europeans.”

“But we have arranged this match in an exemplary way.”

“Obviously we can’t expect too much of Napoli due to our absences, some new arrivals and we don’t have much energy in their legs.”

“But we will try and we understand that whoever plays is in view to being ready for the Lazio match.”
