The Napoli president is still evaluating other names than just James Rodriguez, Hirving Lozano, Mauro Icardi or the now-Arsenal footballer Nicolas Pepe.
French footballer Nicolas Pepe was one of the transfer objectives for Italian Lega Serie A club Napoli.
But according to president Aurelio De Laurentiis, the team doesn’t have any regrets and is evaluating many different names.
“We are evaluating many names other than James Rodriguez, Hirving Lozano, and Mauro Icardi,” he told Football Italia.
“So much so that I made a large offer for Pepe, but we were unable to get him.”
“Arsenal have five times the revenue of Napoli, so they will have simply offered him more money,” he commented.
“Never mind, we’ll find another Pepe.”
“The real money in football is in England now, but with Carlo Ancelotti, Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte back in Serie A, we hope to become great again in Italy too,” he concluded.
