The Ajax sensation is in the radar of many different teams in European football, including Barcelona and Manchester United.

Ajax teenager Matthijs de Ligt has been enjoying a great time at the Dutch Eredivisie club since he debuted in 2016.

The center-back has played over 117 games, scoring 13 goals.

But his last season was superb and he’s being wanted by teams like English Premier League side Manchester United and Spanish La Liga giant Barcelona.

And today, the 19-year-old has said he hasn’t signed for any club, as the only team he loves is Ajax.

“Of course a lot is being written,” he was quoted by Calcio Mercato.

“I think it has been like that all year long and I am not being fooled by it.”

He added: “I am not so worried that so many have been written.”

“Frenkie de Jong already knows that he is going to a new club. Not me yet. That’s it.”

“It is not one club that is interested, no,” he said.

“Whether I have a dream club? No, I don’t really have a dream club outside of Ajax. It was always my dream to play at Ajax. I succeeded and I’m happy about that.”

“Well yes [can choose his next club] it’s not just one club that is interested in me,” the footballer commented.

“But as long as I am contracted with Ajax I will play for Ajax.”
