Matthijs de Ligt has taken a liking to his life in Turin and is willing to prolong his stay at Juventus.

Juventus center-back Matthijs de Ligt and his girlfriend Anne Kee are very much in love with each other according to AnneKee’s father Keye Molenaar.

The Dutchman had a stellar campaign with Ajax last season, guiding them to the semifinals of the Champions League which saw a host of clubs take interest in him.

De Ligt, however, has endured a difficult debut campaign in Serie A and has been unable to justify his €75 million price tag.

But speaking to Tuttosport, the defender’s girlfriend’s father suggested that he does not plan to move away any time soon. Keye Molenaar also praised Juventus for handling the recent coronavirus situation efficiently.

“I have to say that Juventus over these difficult days have shown themselves to be far more than a top club. It was a real family for the kids,” Molenaar said.

“Aside from this being a tricky time, AnneKee and Matthijs are really in love with Turin and Italy. This is their first real home together and they’re not missing Amsterdam.

“They are so in love with Turin that they could stay for five years, maybe ten.”
