The future star of the English midfield is on the radar of the biggest European clubs after some great performances for West Ham.
Among the England national team obligations, Declan Rice is facing the speculations of moving to Manchester United.
However, Rice didn’t want any part of it, dismissing the rumors. According to Mirror, he said:
“I signed a five year contract with West Ham last year, which will keep me at club till I’m 24, and for me this is the best place to be right now.
“I am playing for a manager who has given me my chance and played me week in week out.
“I’m improving every week and although I see all this speculation, I don’t really think about it too much.
“It’s all talk until something happens – and nothing has – so I’m just focussed on West Ham, doing my best and making fans happy.”
West Ham fans will be thrilled with these comments. Their team is sitting at 8th in the league table, just two points off of the Champions League spots.
Even though top four seems to be out of reach, optimism is rising for West Ham as the likes of Konoplyanka and Haller are making some big strides this season.
Declan Rice is also enjoying his season, as he’s an undisputed starter with eight league appearances in eight matches, all of them in the starting eleven.
According to Whoscored, Rice’s passing accuracy rose from 86% last season to 89.5% this season.
This puts him among Europe’s elite, and it’s no wonder everyone is keeping a close tab on the English midfielder.
