After their 2-1 loss at Turf Moor on Saturday, Fulham manager Claudio Ranieri says his team will not “give up” as they look set for a relegation battle.

Fulham lost 2-1 at Burnley as they conceded two unfortunate own goals from Joe Bryan and Denis Odoi after Andre Schurrle had given them the lead in the second minute.

Their 14th defeat of the Premier League season has left them five points off Premier League safety, but Ranieri has vowed to keep fighting.

“It’s unbelievable. Football is fantastic,” he told Sky Sports.

Cairney says there have been improvements at Fulham

The team is at the bottom of the English Premier League table and they are just 13 points away from safety with seven matches to go.

“I think we deserved more than the draw but as for the football we scored early and played well.

“They had three chances and scored two own goals. It’s unbelievable. We can draw the match in the first half but we hit the crossbar. In the second half, they save on the line. It’s a bad moment but we are alive.

“We never give up. We continue to fight.”
